  • Israeli officer, civilians arrested over Hezbollah drug ties

    An Israeli warrant officer and a number of Israeli civilians have been arrested for suspected ties to Lebanese drug dealers connected to Hezbollah, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday.
    An "intensive investigation" was carried out over the past few months by the Military Police Special Investigations Unit in cooperation with local Israeli police, the IDF said.
    They suspected the IDF warrant officer and the civilians were in touch with Lebanese drug dealers in order to smuggle drugs over the border, the IDF said.
