Report: Only 37% of haredi men work
Only 37% of haredi men work, as opposed to some 80% of their secular counterparts, according to statistics presented to Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer while touring centers for women's employment in the ultra-Orthodox town of Modiin Ilit. Among working women, there is also a significant gap. Some 49% of haredi women are gainfully employed, while 70% of secular women work.
